    1. Who are the 4 brothers of Joseph Jackson father to Andrew Jackson
    2. Joan Meddaugh
    3. Can any one tell me the names of all the brothers of Andrew Jackson are? This Andrew is father to the Pres. Andrew Jackson. I know there is James and Robert and Andrew of course, and Hugh who is said to have fought in the French and Indian war and was with Montgomery at the fall of Quebec. It is said that he went back to Carrickfergus, Ireland to entice 20 other families to come back with him. He apparently couldn't get his wife to come but a daughter did come and they settled in NYS. I don't know her name but she married a James Suffern. If any one has any information about Hugh and the other brothers of Andrew Jackson father of the Pres. I would appreciate hearing from you. I would also like to be able to find the wife of James Suffern who was Hugh's daughter. Thank you. Joan Beebe Meddaugh

    3. Mary, there seems to be a lot of John Jacksons born about 1813 that were married to an Elizabeth. My gg, John "Humpy" Jackson and his second wife Elizabeth Durham had a daughter, Henrietta Elizabeth born in Yell Co., AR. She married Joseph M. Harkey in TX. Could this be one of your Harkey line? All my Jacksons came to TX. 2. Joan Meddaugh
    3. Hi List, I am looking for any body with a connection to President Andrew Jackson. Specifically as a cousin. Our John Jackson who married Polly Langton in 1809, parents can't be found by my husband's aunt Catherine. She has looked and looked but so far her search has ended in a zero. Catherine thinks it might be a William and Nancy Jackson who came from Ulster Co. Ireland and settled Jackson Corners in Columbia Co. NY. If there is any one out there that might have a clue to this please please let me know. It has been a brick wall in aunt Catherine's research for many many years. At least since 1985 since she first published her book on the history of the Meddaugh/Deming and Jackson' lines. Any and all help even if its a tid bit is most welcome. Thanks in advance. Joan Beebe Meddaugh
