    1. Isaac, Joseph and Samuel Jackson Portsmouth, NH - 1760's
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xgk.2ACEB/7903 Message Board Post: I am assisting my 83-year-old mother in doing research on her family. She is descended from Atwood Jackson who died in 1939 in Jefferson, Maine. He is descended from Samuel Jackson who was born in 1754 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He had an older brother Joseph Jackson. Recently I learned that in the "Vital records, Edgecomb & Newcastle [New Hampshire], compiled by Christine Huston Dodge" there is a record that states "Isaac Jackson, m. Lucy Savage" It also states "Isaac, was bro. of Joseph & Saml." There was no more information about Isaac Jackson. In the early 1770s Joseph and Samuel Jackson went from Porstmouth, New Hampshire to Newcastle, Maine. In 1778 they went to Jefferson, Maine. Isaac Jackson stayed in New Hampshire. He did not go to Maine. Joseph Jackson was born about May 11, 1752 in Durham, New Hampshire and died June 19, 1831 in Jefferson, Maine. Samuel Jackson was born September 6, 1754 In Portsmouth, New Hampshire and died November 3, 1826 in Jefferson, Maine. I would very much like to know who were the parents of Isaac, Joseph, and Samuel Jackson so I can help my mother to trace her family further back. Thank you very much for your kind assistance in our genealogical research. Sincerely, Susan M. Grady
