    3. Faye, Andrew did have a brother or sister, can't remember which. So is is possible to be a decendant of the family if not direct from Andrew. I have traced my line to Thomas Jackson, but sure not related to Stonewall, well, not that I have found yet. lol My Thomas was born 1800s Tennessee buuuuuuutttt. Tis a funny situation. Another line goes back to Sir Francis Drake but probably not THE Sir Francis. One thing everyone has to have when doing genealogy is a sense of humor. Black sheep and those bones in the closet. 1. William Harold Jackson died Jan. 18, 1944 Havana, Cuba
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Xgk.2ACEB/7978 Message Board Post: Recently I have begun assisting my 83-year-old mother, Ruth Louise Jackson Sinclair (Mrs. John P. Green), of Waltham, Massachusetts in doing research on her mother's father's family. Her grandfather (her mother's father) was Edward Cross Jackson of Lancaster, New Hampshire. He is buried in Waltham, Massachusetts. I would like, please, for the descendants of William Harold Jackson who died on January 18, 1944 in Havana, Cuba to contact me. William H. Jackson was a publisher and was born around 1876. At one time he resided in Newton, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. I do not know if he was born in the United States or in Cuba. William H. Jackson was living in the Marianao District of Havana, Cuba when he died. He is buried in the Campbell Memorial Masonic Mausoleum at the Colón Cemetery in Havana. His wife's name was Mrs. Fina Forcade Jackson. His son's names were Walter E. Jakcosn and Richard H. Jackson. They were all living with William H. Jackson when he died. My mother's great-great grandfather was Moses Jackson of Newry, Maine. He was arrested in 1815 for possession of counterfeit money that he knew to be counterfeit in Norridgewock, Maine. After his trial in Augusta, Maine, he was sent to the Massachusetts State Prison in Charlestown, Massachusetts because at that time Maine was still a part of Massachusetts. On October 18, 1818 Moses Jackson was pardoned by the Governor of Massachusetts and released from this prison. Moses Jackson then went on a sailing ship to Matanzas, Cuba. My mother and I were wondering if William H. Jackson might be a descendant of Moses Jackson. We would appreciate it if any of William Jackson's family members would contact us. My mailing address is: Ms. Susan M. Grady 6330 Hillcrest Place Alexandria, Virginia 22312 United States of America Thank you. Sincerely, Susan M. Grady Alexandria, Virginia Near Washington, D.C.
