The John Jackson (b. 1827-29, Ga.) you are looking for; do you by any chance know who his parents were?? The names of some of his children are the same as in the John Warren Jackson family line. Of course the possibilities here are endless as well! Just a thought. Does anyone have a Martha Jackson who married a Thompson in Tennessee? I have info. showing she was born in Tn. about 1822 or 1830. Do not know who her parents were. She would have married the Thompson probably anywhere from 1837 to 1854. Her first child was born in 1855. She lived in Bradley and Rhea Counties in Tennessee in 1860 and 1870 but her name was Martha M. Thompson, at that time. Thank you. Wanda

Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: My husband's line has Mary Amanda Melvina Jackson (b. abt 1819 - d. bef the 1860 census) My g-g-grandmother had a sister named Catherine Cassandra Amanda Melvina Woodson Jackson. She was daughter of Stewart Jackson and Elizabeth Woodson Coffee. They lived in Center Star, Lauderdale County, AL in the same time period. She married Dempsey Bulls. Two of her sons died in the Civil War from measels. I was curious about the combination of "Amanda Melvina" in both names. Family names passed down or maybe from a book? The Jackson line came from Virginia in 1805 to Lafayete co, Missouri, then to Crawford co, Arkansas. We have no information before our common ancestor, Abraham Jackson who according to census information was born in Virginia in 1805. We cant find him in 1880 although he is believed to have lived until at least 1883 so we dont know where his parents were from. Members of the invite only group are descendants of his 11 known children who grew up and mostly raised their families in the Crawford Co AR and Sequoyah Co OK area. The site is to get to know cousins better and to try to jointly search for information about Abe. tThe information on Abraham is found on rootsweb.com so anything you want to know about him is found there without a password.
