He was in the Royal Navy on Submarines, and died when his sub sank in 1918. I still cannot find his parents names, and details, despite a lot of research. My grandfather wrote to me years ago to say his family was from Staffordshire, England, that Thomas William Jackson was from there. Details of Thomas William Jackson: Date of Birth: 22/02/1886; Date of Death. Place of Death: 31/01/1918, May Island, Firth of Forth, North Sea. Occupation: Submariner Royal Navy Married to: Edith Ellen Hall, who was born in 1888, in England, died 1965, in England. Resided at: 29 South Place, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, in 1918, when my great grandfather was killed when his sub K4 sank in the North Sea. Thank you for any help. I am looking for his parents names mostly, but would greatly appreciate any information. Lisa Jackson Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I've always wondered about the Jackson's in Muskingum County, since their names and dates are so close to my Jacksons. I believe these Jacksons are connected to the Stonewall Jackson line. My Jackson's are one of probably thousand others whose family story has them connected to Stonewall. My Jackson's have a lot of similaries but I have found NO ties--yet. Thanks for noticing and if you find any other possibilities please let me know! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Their children were Eugenia, Isaac, Lafayette, Mary A and Martha (my gggrandmother). Family legend is that during the Revolutionary War, there were two Jackson boys, one not old enough to join the war. He ran away and joined Lafayette's forces. He was assigned to canteen duty and was affected by fumes of the liquor he served. When Gen. Lafayette noted the extreme youth of the boy, he look young Jackson on his personal staff. Out of gratitude, young Jackson said he would start a family tradition of naming the first son "Lafayette", which tradition was unbroken until 1886, when Isaac Lafayette Gamewell named his son Edwin Parker Francis. Does anyone have information on James - siblings, parents??? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
