Andrew Jackson and I have been told my grandfather was William Jackson b. in VA, but not sure of the date. I have just started doing this genealogy and hope someday to get to the source as no one has been able to make the connection. He was also married in Sumner, TN where the Pres. lived. Good luck and hope we can connect one of these days. Ann D. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Diaries of the family show she married a Jackson and then lived in Glasgow. A vague memory within the family hints he may have been Joe Jackson and they may have had children Matthew and Euphemia but this is not totally reliable. Have been able to find no details of a marriage or children (there is a Jessie Hunter/Jackson marriage but the parent info on the certificate is not a match - parents should be Euphemia Alves & John Hunter). If anyone is able to help shed some light I'd love to hear from you. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hello List, I just joined. I'm researching a line of African American Jacksons, who originated out of Pike County and Meriwether County Georgia. I have the following names I am looking at: 1. Arnold Jackson b. 1832 Meriwether county and wife Lena/Tena (moved to Pike County later) Children: Charlotte, John, Alonzo, William, Burwell, Sallie (my line descends thru Sallie who married Ben Lovelace) 2. Abe and Mausie Lee Jackson Children: Mable, James, Leroy, Robert, Cleveland, Arnold (I'm thinking that this is the same Arnold as above but not sure) 3. Joe and Mattie Jackson of Meriwether County Also trying to figure who were the Jacksons that left Pike County GA and moved to Columbus OH. I know there was a Wille B. Jackson who married Ruby Evans and had a son Willie B Jackson Jr who married Martha Watson. They moved to Columbus and passed away here. I know they are related, but can't make the connection between Willie B (Ruby) Jackson and the other Jackson's listed above. Hope someone out there can point me in the right direction. Have a great weekend. Debbie Miller Columbus OH

His parents are my great grand parents, Thomas and Alice Jackson, buried in Marlow. Thomas was an engine driver and died 26 March 1929. Alice died 26 August 1941. Their eldest son Thomas is remembered on their headstone. He is also listed on the Navy war memorial at Southsea and also at the submarine museum at Gosport. I am new to computing and have lots more enquires to make! I have a few photos of Thomas and Alice, one with a lad in naval uniform. This could be T.W. I did not know that T.W. had children,it came as quite a suprise. I know nothing of his brothers Lewelwyn or John, but knew his 3 young sisters as they all lived to their late 90's Hope this is of interest, I.D.
