There is an edit function - but if it tells you how to change a name without deleting all other info - I haven't found it. This is Family Tree Maker and they are considered to be a pretty good program. I've been playing around and I think I've found a solution. If I go in and don't blank out the whole name - just highlight the letters I want to change - then it just comes back with "Are you changing the spelling" and allows the change. You know what a dummy I am. I have to fool around with this stuff for hours. The problem for me is that the "Help" topics always seem to address people who already understand what they're doing - that lets me out. Fran
