Ruby, Thanks so much for the info. It sure looks as if has to be in California somewhere. One question - Is the Uncle George who bought a garage an Ivester uncle or a Howell uncle or ????? Thanks again and take care - Emma In a message dated 2/9/2003 2:10:33 PM Central Standard Time, RMEASL@aol.com writes: Hi Emma, Yes Aunt Grace had two daughters Judith Frances and Mary Jo they are both from her first marriage. Anthony (Tony)Cataldo. You asked if I had found his son W. H. in the 1930 records I have not but found a letter from Pacific Fire Insurance Co., New York dated Jan. 23, 1931 from a Dixwell Davenport, Mgr. San Francisco, CA stating W.H. had been in his employment for the past sixteen months as a chauffeur. He was giving him a good reference so he must have been in San Francisco in 1930. Have a card from Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks made out to William H. Ivester good until June 30, 1924 on the back is stamped Bakersfield Lodge No. 45. Also have a Western Union Telegram to W. H. Ivester, 2178 Newton Ave. San Diego California from his Uncle George offering him a job in a garage that George had purchased it is dated Apr. 3, 1926
