Sure, here you are. J esse Ivester appears in volume 32, page 100, in Vital Records from the National Intelligencer, a newspaper in Washington, D. C. It says:IVESTER, Jesse, a native of Chester, Pa., died September 15, 1822. The listing for George Ivester is in Supplement I: Index toRevolutionary War Pension Applications, page 547: IVESTER, George, Penn. S5599 If you aren't familiar with Pension Applications, let me tell you a tiny bit about them. Since the new government had no money to pay its soldiers when they enlisted to fight in the Revolutionary War and theWar of 1812, the government later on set up both pensions and Bounty Land Warrants to compensate the soldiers and sailors. Each applicant,or widow of one, had to apply, and supply proof of who they were andof their military service. As a result, these files can contain themost amazing documents. They can be a gold mine, or a bust, but you never know. The initial "S" before the number means "Survivor", "W" means "Widow", and "R" means "Rejected".You can request a copy of the file directly from the National Archives. Go to their web site for more information at www.nara.gov.They will tell you how to request a copy of the hard copy form you need. You fill it out and return to them. There is NO charge if they can't find anything for you, and they will let you know how much otherwise, perhaps $10.I hope this helps in your research! ---------------------------------------------------- Could you please check CD 209 for William Ivester and George Ivester.
