What a name to remember, huh. Am trying to find more on Thomas, tho. Found the marriage of Caldonia Arrendale to Thomas Gables- took place Feb. 21, 1875, married by Jeptha Woods. I have a bit of a genealogy on the Arrendale family, shared from an Arrendale researcher. Rabun could also lists other Arrendale marriages-one of them is a mystery.....William Arrendale m. Gables, Zelia on Jan. 13, 1884 by E.T. Galloway. Who the heck is Zelia? In all the years of my Gable research I have never seen this name. You could be correct on this one, it probably was Barbara. I worked late into the morning hours on all this! and I have one other problem area. Think it had to do with two other found records. In another reference found Caldonia Arrendale married to a John Gable. The marriage was not given, but their births were, Her birth given as 1858 and John's as 1858. Weird. Have to check this out. The other problem is that of Sarah Jane Gable. Now my mind is blank! Will re-check and get back to you on this. On your La Count question... yes it was LaCount, not LaCourt. And yes Barbary A. Gables did marry an Arniod. This is probably our clue to that connection. Bet Jacob was visiting some of the Arnolds there in Coweta County. I need to sit down and put all of this in database. Yesterday was so busy that by the time I got to my research, my brain was fried!!! Lastly, I do hope that other members of this wonderful list have not minded our discussions pretaining to all of this. It does apply in a small way to the Ivester family.
