William Harrison - 7 June 1864-15 Apr 1955 - md Safira Jane LaCount (1872-1908) - 9 children - William is in the 1870 census of Rabun with his parents and then with his mother in 1880. 2. Barbara Arzeley - b. 4 Apr 1866 - md William Arnold - 8 children - Barbara is in the 1870 census of Rabun with her parents and then with her mother in 1880. 3. Jacob Patrick - b. 21 Jan 1867 - d. 7 Oct 1937 - md Mary Ann LaCount (1865-1929) - 10 children - Jacob isn't in the 1870 census with his parents so could his b. date be wrong???? He does show up in 1880 with his mother and then in the 1920 census in Oglethorpe Co., Ga with his own family. 4. Jasper Newton - b. 1 June 1869 Ga - d. 6 Apr 1916 - md Mary Elizabeth Franklin (1870-1948) - 9 children - Now.... questions...He does not show up on the 1870 or 1880 census. But... have seen his name included in the list of children. Is he... Isn't he....??????? He and his family are in the 1910 census of Habersham Co., Ga. Judy... since this is your line I figure you can straighten me out on this one .......<grin>. 5. Mary J. P. - b. abt 1871 - She shows up as daughter 0n the 1880 census with Jaley Ann. 6. Margaret A. - b. abt 1874 - d. 22 Mar 1923 - md Thomas Almarine Ivester (1868-1956) - 14 children - She shows up as daughter in the 1880 census with Jaley Ann and then in the 1910 & 1920 census of Tift Co., Ga. 7. Martha Elizabeth - b. 2 May 1880 - 22 Nov. 1967 - md Thomas Littleton Ivester (1877-1952) - 12 children - Appears in the 1900 census of Franklin Co., Ga and the 1910 census of Oglethorpe Co., Ga. Census Records include: Jacob R. Gables 1850 census - Rabun Co., Ga - age 24 - School Teacher - listed with wife Melberry and children Thomas, Jane, & Joseph 1860 census - Rabun Co., Ga - age 35 - Melberry has died - Joseph and children are living with her parents Thomas & Sarah Arrendale. Littleton, Jessie & David are Jaley's children by her first husband. Henry & Zealy are Jacob & Jaley's children. And this one for 1870 1870 - Coweta Co., Ga - listed as age 46 - school teacher - SC - living with James Arnold family. He just disappeared from Rabun and apparently his family figured he was killed on the way home. But... what if he just left and is the same Jacob R listed in Jackson Co., Ga.
