Hi Everyone, Especially Ruth, Jerry, & Gayle... <g> I played with census records again last night. You might already have this but found F. C. Green and Rebecca Ivester on the 1880 census in Montague Co., Texas. Green, F. C. - 24 - father - farmer - Tx-NC-NC B. - 19 - mother - keeps house - Ga-Ga-Ga M. L. - 1 - daughter - at home - Tx-Tx-Ga B is for Becky but do any of you know what the actual names are for F. C. and M. L. (at least I think that 2nd initial is L.). I tried every thing I could think of in terms of variations in the index and could not find Nancy Malinda Nichols Ivester anywhere - under either Ivester or Merritt. Do any of you have any idea of when she married this Merritt????? Mary Susan Ivester and William Edward Barton are in Rabun Co., Ga in 1880 and Martha Lucretia Ivester and Henry Clay Jones are in Habersham Co., Ga in 1880 and in spite of the fact that I have a marriage date for Lovicia Aveline as Jan. 1881, I think I found her and Mitchell Henry Anderson in the 1880 census of Habersham co., as well - will double check that one tonight. And.. just to place these folks - this is Jacob b. Ivester and Nancy Malinda Nichols. Jacob B. is son of George Ivester and Anna Rucker. Thanks and take care - Emma
