Hello, I am so excited to hear from you. I have help promised to help me with the big "C" I am just hoping it is ok to send this to you this way. I had not received any "Ivester" mail since the 17th and was afraid I had lost it. I know you need just information so here is some. The James Thomas Browning Family - Mother of family is Laura Elizabeth Ivester - took a trip back to Bernie, Mo in 1930 from Bakersfield, Ca. with several children. The last child a boy is still living- My uncle and he is amazed about all his ancesters. So many stories I m not sure how much to say. Laura is daughter of John A. Ivester, her sister "Aunt Ada" has several family members live in Bakersfield now. Talked to one who is in the 90 last year she played with my father as children. John N. IVESTER was born about 1840, son of George IVESTER and Nancy WHISENANT. From family sources, I had his middle name as Nicholas (which would be reasonable, considering that Nancy's father was named John Nicholas). However, I've been told by some of the folks on this list that his middle name was Newton. Does anyone have definitive information or documentation for this? I'm working on a genealogical package for my son-in-law for Christmas and would like to get this right. -- Elizabeth Harris ncgen@mindspring.com NCGenWeb project: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncgenweb/ Winston-Salem NC area genealogy: http://www.fmoran.com/
