As an alternative to RootsWeb Mailing Lists, Ancestry message boards are a great option to network with others in the genealogy community.     3. Is there a way to find someone who may have been traveling from Tarrant Co., TX to Ft. Gibson, OK in 1880? I can't find them anywhere on the Texas census and believe they were either traveling to Oklahoma or already there by time the census was taken. I'm looking for Samuel & Catherine Isaat, Andrew or Jack Spurlock and Bertram Spurlock. I tried checking the Dawes final rolls but some of them were deceased by then.

    3. You need to search for your family in the censuses, that will give you more information to go on and tell you where they lived during certain periods of time.     3. My great grandmother was Mahuldah Wells from Trail, Dewey county OK. She married into the Day family either Alexander P. Day (or could it be Luther Alexander,same fam,different generations.... hmmmnI believe. Does anyone no of a possible cherokee link or how to find one? They were married on a cherokee reservation in or near Dewey County, and she was cherokee from what has been recanted. She was also a healer and midwife who helped deliver many children into Trail.
