    3. I would like very much to hear from the man and exchange information though I have very little on the McVey part of my family. According to the information on their headstone they was married in 1877 in IT, I've not found their marriage license yet but my grand father was born in 1878 in IT. According to that same headstone Grandma Mollie was only eleven years old when her and Grandpa Jerry married but according to census records she was fifteen. When I was growing up in Baldwyn, MS. there was a family Rube and Idera McVey that lived there and we always called them Uncle and Aunt but when I was a youngster all family friends was Uncle and Aunt and others was Mr. and Mrs., that was the way my parents raised us. When I got interested in Genealogy in the early 60's I ask mom about it and she said we was related but she wasn't sure how. The McVey kids left said no until we got down their family bible to look and see who was recorded in it. Grandma Mollie name wasn't in there but a copy of her obit was so then no one was sure of anything. Mom always said grandma Mollie was an orphan and did not have any parents. I know the Sheppard/Shepard family moved from Sevier County, AR. after the 1860 census to IT around Tishomingo. I do not know if they was Native American or not, one of my gUncles applied for citizenship on the Daws Rolls but was turned down. In 1887 Grandpa Jeramiah moved back to Logan County, AR. In 1888 he bought some land there and in the write-up by the lawyer his name was changed from Jeramiah to Jerry Miah and that is what is on his headstone in Yell County, AR. I am going to keep you message with all these names though none mean anything to me yet I'll have a place and some names to look at. Many thanks for all information you have supplied and any other contacts I may make.
