Vicki, Thanks for the response. It's great to find someone researching the same family. I am the great grandson of Joseph Andrew Sawyers (the last s was dropped to become Sawyer when my grandfather was born). I would be delighted to have more information on Joe Mitchell. All that I know about him is the name. I know that Mary Robinson's father was named Abel. My grandfather always said that his great grandmother was Emily Folsom; however, the documents that we have found show that he was married to Emily Folsom later in his life. During the time that Mary Robinson was born, census records show his wife to be Hannah. We don't have any more information about her other than the first name. I am especially interested in this line because I would really like to find someone that was listed on the Dawes Roll. My mother has been working on geneology for many years. She has corresponded with several people on this line. You may know her (Mary Sawyer). Hi, I am interested in information about Tuckahoe Indians. My grandmother told me she was partly Tuckahoe. She came from Roncevert, W. VA. She was born in the late 1800s. I don't have much information to go on but do know that her maiden name was Amonette and her grandparents were Vanstavern. My Grandmother was Dora Amonette Daniels. Needing this information to try to prove 7th generation connection for my granddaughter to help her get into college as a minority. Thanks for any help given. Sincerely, Thelma Fulcher
I'm looking for Odom,(Miss.and/or Louisiana) and Thomas Henry Young lines about 1897 in McGee, IT. Family stories say that Thomas had a brother, Nat, who was a sherrif in the territory and that he lived in Mexico for a while due to athsma. This line of Odoms seem to have come to IT 1893-4. Any help appreciated. Shandy Voyles
I wish I knew enough about them to be able to give you a "line". I'm afraid that all I have are two Self women who have married into different branches of my family. Here is the info I have about these two women: Jane Self b. September 7, 1847 in TX m. William H. Graham abt. 1868, d. November 3, 1912 in or near Bandera, Bandera County, TX. She and William had one son, Allen Graham, who was born one month after his father died. Jane them married James P. Hester and had 4 more children: Margaret, Vina Elizabeth (Lizzie), James H., and Robert F. (Rob) Hester. Other than a few photos of Jane, that's all the information I have on her. Would love to find her parents and siblings. Daisy Self m. Paul H. Moody in 1901 in Greer County, OK according to the Plain Dealer newspaper. They left Oklahoma and went to Phoenix, AZ. They had two children, Joe and Chloe. This is all I know about Daisy. I hope to find a LOT more information about her. Hello everyone, nice to hear from the list again....I am researching Baker, Barnett, Davis, Gregory, and Jones. My Barnetts and Gregorys seem to mostly be in the Delaware District of the Cherokee Nation from the early 1880s. They were originally from Monroe and McMinn Co. TN and went west after the mid 1870s. The Bakers were heavily intermarried with the Barnetts and many Bakers settled in Fannin CO. TX; some may have been in IT. The Davis line married into the Barnett line and I do not know if they left TN or not. At least 3 of the Gregorys on the Dawes are relatives, though not direct line. Some of my Gregorys went to Siloam Springs AR and are buried there. Descendents went west to Nampa Idaho in the early 1920s. Please contact me for further info if you think you might have a connection. Wado, Steve in Oahu

But, in the Holmes section of the family, there are some Browns and they are really dark and have a lot of N/A blood. Actually, in the Holmes section, there are those who look like they just got off the boat from Ireland and some of their first cousins look 100% N/A. I do know that there is Choctaw in that section.
