I am someone who continues to receive the Digest, although not an active transcriber. I transcribed about twenty five ships from 2004 to 2009 for Volumes 6 -11. I am grateful to ISTG. Without ISTG I would never have thought to become so involved in passenger lists, their many abbreviations and notations, ports of departure and ports of entry, shipping lines, quarantines, detained aliens and boards of special inquiry that I would become the go-to person in my genealogical society when a question on the subject comes up.
