Tina You don't give any clues about when your relative went from Glasgow to east Cowes. The Island was well known for its treatment for tuberculosis, the Royal National Hospital at Ventnor was the national hospital for TB from 1869. Whether people would have gone to other places on the Island as a result of this I can't say, but since much of the reason for sighting the hospital on the Island was due to the climate I would think it likely. I am trying to figure out why my relation went from Glasgow to East Cowes. Thanks for any help Tina
Hi I think I have thanked you all individually but will again. Thanks for all the informative replies to my question on TB. It is definitely a possibility. Kind regards Tina
