Hi Anyone researching the DYER's from the Isle of Wight. Joseph DYER had William Alfred abt 1832, William Alfred married Mary Emma CHIVERTON 28 October 1855. Although I have William and his wife on all census' from 1871 onwards, I would love to find him with his family before he was married on the 1841 or 1851 census as I don't have any information about him. Joseph was a coachman and the story in the family was that either he or William was coachman to Queen Victoria when she was in residence on the Isle of Wight. I'm not sure if this is a family myth but would like to prove or disprove this. Any information gratefully received. Regards Ally (Derby)
