    1. calling IWFHS Members re IW List

    3. Would any of you be prepared to volunteer to do a three month stint monitoring the IW List and writing a one page report for the IWFHS Journal? Angela is doing it at present but I will need someone to take on the next three month block covering July, August and September and would welcome anyone who could offer to do any of the 3 month stints thereafter. It is one way that non Island resident IWFHS members, who cannot volunteer for locally based projects like the BMD index, are able to help the Society and other researchers. It also gives an opportunity to those who may not want to produce a full blown article for the Journal to publish an outline of their own research interests to reach other readers. The system has worked very well so far, thanks to Ann, Amy, Jon and Angela, and Journal readers have been finding it useful to have an indication of what topics have come up on the List. I hope too that it has also encouraged some Journal readers (IWFHS members and those who see the Journal by exchange with other societies or at the Library or Record Office) to join the List. If anyone is interested please e-mail me including IWFHS in the subject line and I can give you an idea of what is involved. I am sure too that the others would be happy to give you an idea of how much time it took them and what was easy or difficult about it. And if any members have an article they would like to submit for the Journal but are not sure how to go about it, do contact me and I will advise. Di Harding Editor, IWFHS Journal
