Hello List, I am re subscribing after a break of a year or so due to ill health. I am trying to sort out a problem that has cropped up.(one of many) I have Aquila Sheath born Whitwell according to 1881 census. I found Aquila son of Robert and Elizabeth Sheath born 1823 Whitwell and was happy. I have recently found his marriage to Ruth Willis on free BMD and sent off happily for the certificate. Imagine my horror when his fathers name was given as William. The records office could not find another Aquila in whitwell at the right time. In 1851 Aquila aged 15 is living on the Undercliff at Wrongs Whitwell with a Reynolds family and next door to Robert and his wife Elizabeth. Roberts Grandmother was a Reynolds. Any ideas or help much appreciated. Linda Pereira
