Hello Pauline The marriage took place in 1827, so before civil registration. The entry is on the IGI site, 27 Jul 1827. Someone kindly checked the PR entry, but no father's names listed. I have found an entry on the 1881 for a Jane Midlane born 1812, Penton Mewsey...so could be my Jane, that's one reason I wanted to find the 1851 & 1861 census entries to find the place of birth listed then. I've also found an entry on Freebmd for Jane's death, Mar 1886, age 74. Wouldn't life be boring if we already knew all the answer's???
