Searching for descendants of Robert Callaway born 1780 Godshill who married Sarah Edmunds 4th Feb. 1800 at Whitwell.Many of these descendants lived in Godshill until the 20th century, and I have most listed. Others dispersed to the mainland. I have Robert's ancestors fairly well listed back to John Callaway Coppersmith who was buried at Godshill in 1583, so the folks didn't move far in those days! Contact is sought both to compare paper trails and perhaps participate in an interesting DNA programme being conducted by the Callaway Family Association of America. I am a descendant of Robert.
