Hi List, I have a William Griffiths born 1876 in Yarmouth, he is my great uncle, and I can't seem to find out anything about him. I have a marriage for a William from the IWFHS to an Alphemia Bonsor, I have her with various spellings of her first name including Alphena. Can anybody tell me if this is my William whose parents were James Andrews Griffiths and Janetta Sarah Williams. I have looked on the War Graves site and there are, obviously, a lot of William Griffiths who died in WW1, but as I don't know what regiment if any he was in, I can't confirm anything. Is his name on the War Memorial in Yarmouth perhaps. I have done so well on this line thanks to dear Ann Barrett helping with the brick walls, to even having a visit last week from a distant cousin from Australia, now that is worth all the effort we put into genealogy.
