    3. Hello :) I am trying to clarify the different Dore Clans around the IOW. My husbands lineage is out of Norton, Freshwater, Yarmouth areas ...however while I'm focusing on those areas... I am also learning far more than I planned on about ALL the Dores in IOW as early as 1500-1700's. I would invite you to contact me thru this list so that the information can be saved online forever for others to find someday. I'm working with another cousin (living in England) and we've collected quite a collection of names. Please feel free to send us 2-4 generations of names and we would be happy to try and match you into a line we've collected...which may or may not link to our family of Dores. Group A...We are especially interested in Dore's out of Norton, Freshwater & Yarmouth...especially those that married into families such as Comes, Atkins, Boyer, Kent, Keat, Guy, Dibbens, Woodford, Bright, Gunn, Cammel, Toogood, Gould, Williams and Brett... Group B...A different line out of this same area that we are working (currently can't link theirs to ours)...includes names such as Steeven, Harvey, Lacey, Lacy, Johnson, Woodford, Galpen, Day, Gyer, Dickenson, Percey, Jolliffe, Snow, Baldwin, Trickett, possibly Brett, possibly Toogood, Capell, Cassell, Scovell, Waite, Mitchell, Theobald, Passey, Willyar, Wall, Salter, White Group C...Another line that is mostly from a different location (Brook, Shalfleet, Brixton) would be Dores that married into lines such as : Crew, Hollis, Granger, Pleyer, Dyer, Atkey, Dallimore, Holston, Snudden, Ward, Lovett, Jacobs, Manns, Adams, Horlock, Pickerel, Cheverton, Thearll Hope to hear from any or all Dore researchers!!
