Hi All, Many thanks to all those who emailed me re my husbands grandmothers 100th birthday . Pleased to say apart from being the coldest and wetest day I have experienced in a LONG time the day went off well and Grandma managed to sit with us all for at least 5 hours outside under a huge marquee . Don't know how she coped because I was freezing cold .. must be hardy ! Her only complaint was the music :-) She hails from Northern Ireland and every time a song was played she would exclaim ' that's not a song from the north' .. but other than that she was happy and wore a huge badge on her lapel ' proud to be Irish' . My father in law did the rounds with a pen and paper making sure his family tree notes were up to date much to my husbands displeasure - I am sure I heard him groan ' oh not again' before heading for another drink. Anyway it was a great day and one to remember. Cheers Angela in Oz
