Dear Friends & Cousins, I know this is not strictly genealogy, but thought many of you would be interested to hear of my forthcoming concert. On July 18th and 25th I am conducting a great concert here in Ballarat and at Daylesford (Victoria, Australia). THe concert is to celebrate the development of music within the Methodist church as it's John Wesley's 301st birthday this year. I will be giving a commentary on the works performed and will of course mention the Isle of Wight as a stronghold of Methodism. My own Gt Gt grandfather, Edward COLLYER of Brooke, was the first methodist Lay preacher here at Rokewood Junction after his arrival in 1855. Somewhat incongruously \, he also ran the first hotel!
