Duncan I have a Jane LAKE, who married my maternal great grandfather James Garland DUFFETT in 1866, St Thomas, Ryde COE37.1/331. Is she perhaps related one of your LAKEs? Unfortunately, I know nothing about her past. After having 2 or 3 children with James, she disappears off my list after that and he went on to marry Lavinia Maria DUNFORD in 1880 (Register Office/Non Conformist Church RO25/13).
