Hello Hella It looks as though you already have the dates of entering and leaving Cowes. There are no newspapers for those dates on the Isle of Wight. At that period the main paper would have been the Hampshire Telegraph. It carried some Isle of Wight news but I do not know if it reported all the shipping movements or how much information it would have given. The paper you want is Lloyds List, a daily paper which reported shipping movements (all over the world). You will find it at the Guildhall Library in London. It is indexed for some, if not all, periods so even if you had to pay for a search it might not take too long.
