Hello listers In December I asked whether any-one had knowledge of records of the bookings made by a deckchair/boating hire Assistant in 1913 re. travel from Southampton to Melbourne, by my Grandfather and his brothers. Their journey had started in Ventnor. Valerie suggested that I write to the Longshoreman Museum, The Esplanade, Ventnor. I have just received their reply. Unfortunately, the books were destroyed many years ago.
