Hi, I am currently researching my family history on the IoW and would like to hear from any one who may have any further info. My Mother was a RUSSELL born in Binstead and was one of 10 children of Ellen and Ernest Russell (who were cousins). Her Grandfathers George and Charles Russell were born in Arreton, and their father Henry came from Shorwell. What is your BENNETT connection? I have BENNETT relatives, from Ryde, starting with my mother Jean, b 1918; my Grandfather Henry,b 1876; my great grandfather Edward, b 1856; my GG Grandfather Henry, b 1824 in Odiham Hants; GGG Grandfather John, b 1795, Crondall Hants. Hi Sally-Ann I don't know too much about the BENNETTs yet, but my Gt Aunt - Alice RUSSELL bn 1890 Married a Victor H L BENNETT in 1909 whose family owned a nursery in Pellhurst Rd. Ryde. I believe they had a son Edward (Teddy). Does this mean anything to you ?
