I am hoping that SKS would look at the Card Index in the Record Office to see how a person more familiar with Island surnames indexed the following Bride's surname. James GRAY married Jean CERVS/CEWS/ CERVS? November 29th 1748 Whitwell Jean GRAY was buried Whitwell May 15th 1750. I noted a burial for someone named CAWSE and wondered whether that was Jean's surname. However that did not appear to be what was written at the time of the marriage. If someone could look this Index Card up I would be grateful. Evelyn
