Hello ALL, I am sure that is of no help with your MIDLANE's but a Thomas J.MIDLANE was a witness at my GGrandparent's wedding Frank and Edith BEAVIS 28/11/1881 at Newport Register Office.Thomas MIDLANE was 32 and a Outfitter and clothier,living as a lodger at 31,High Street,Newport in the 1891 census. There is also Albert MIDLANE an Ironmonger living at Forest View,St.Johns Road,Carisbrooke,he was born 23/01/1825 and died 27/02/1909.Albert also wrote many hymns including"There's a friend for little children" Regards Valerie.
