I checked the Canadian Archives for Canadian Expeditionary Forces and a Samuel George Corney was. there. His nex of kin was Charles Corney, father-address in 1917 was Ryde, 27 Alfred St. England. He is also a British Home Child, being originally sent to Canada through the Barnardo Homes. A check on BHC database did not find him but I found him on the NAC Home Children database arriving at Quebec from Liverpool on the SS Sicilian 1910 aged 12. Have sent his details to the database. The medals are in a large lot, mostly assigned to Samuel Corney. They are on sale for over $300 Canadian.
