Dear Maryanne In answer to your enquiry on the Woodford/Dyer connection - I only have Woodfords but it may be of help. My Great Great Grandmother Eliza TURNER (nee SMITH - this was her second marriage) married Horatio WOODFORD IN 1867 on the Isle of Wight and they had two children 1. Laura WOODFORD born 30/8/1868 at Ventnor, IoW 2. Mabel WOODFORD born 26/6/1870 at Ventnor, IoW Horatio WOODFORD's parents were Edward born 1804 and Harriet born 1808 and they had two other children that I know of 1.Edward P. WOODFORD born 1841, Newport, IoW 2. Laura WOODFORD born 1843 Newchurch, IoW Horatio was born 1834 at Newport, IoW. As there is such a gap between Horatio and the next child I assume there were other siblings. Eliza SMITH married her first husband, James TURNER, in 1848 at Chorley and they had at least three children 1. James SMITH TURNER born 1852 2. Ellen Mary TURNER born 1854 2.
