Hi, Everyone- I'm looking for the parents of Henry ROGERS, born 3/27/1822 at Staplers, IOW. I believe his parents were James ROGERS, born 12/2/1798 at Arreton and Jane URRY. Would anyone on the list have a connection to this family? Also looking for Maria APPLETON (married the above Henry Rogers), born 4/12/1825 in Fareham, Hampshire. I believe her parents were John Appleton and Ann WHITE. Lastly, another ancestor, Samuel KETLEY, was tollgate keeper at Bellacroft Gate (Staplers) in Whippingham in the later part of the 1880's. I can't find any mention or pictures of it (Ann Barrett kindly sent me an old map that indicated its location!) or the house that I assume came with the job.
