Dear Listers, I have been puzzling as to where family members were buried. I have recently been combing through a film of Newchurch Registers and wondered at what period of time the graveyard there was no longer used. With some family members the helpful Record Office Card Index records for some burials a Section and Grave No. in the 18th & 19th century. Would the graveyard be marked out in this manner or were these people buried in a cemetery? Is there any way that one can say when doing research at such a distance whether the burial was in a cemetery or graveyard? Evelyn >From a cool damp Sydney
