    3. >From the Hampshire Telegraph and Sussex Chronicles (Portsmouth), Saturday, August 22,1857 The Isle of Wight poultry breeders have not been so fortunate at the late grand exhibition at the Crystal Palace, as we have witnessed at previous poultry shows; for, although there were several pens exhibited, the only prizes awarded were to Mr. J. W. Kellaway, of Ryde, for a pen of Cochin-China fowls (2nd prize 2L), and to Mr. Henry Loe, jun., of Godshill (the second prize for a Cochin cock, and a third prize for a pen of Polish fowls---black with white crest.) Mr Fielden, of Bonchurch, had a pen of Cochin fowls in class 4, which was highly commended, as was Mr. Loe's Cochins in class 9; Of interest anyone Dr. Bruce C.
