Hello Everyone, Since there have been comments about how quiet it has been lately, perhaps someone will be good enough to try and solve a problem I have with one of my ancestors. I have a William Edward STROUD born 1875/6 Ryde, son of Edward G STROUD and Ellen OATES. I have managed to trace him so far 1881 aged 5/6 living with his Uncle William G WRIGHT and Auntie Mary Ann WRIGHT Clare aged 15 Minnie aged 12 & Ada aged 5. They were his cousins. He was living with them because his Mother Ellen had died. In 1891 aged 16 he is back with his Father Edward aged 41 who had remarried a Sarah Jane. I am unable to find him on the 1901 census. I have looked to see if he has died or married but have been unsuccessful. Has anyone got any ideas. Regards Angela

Marriage Apr-Jul 1874 IOW 2b 959 (Father Edward born Southampton) Probably Mary Ann WRIGHT was Ellen's sister. I looked in 1901 and found possible William E. STROUD : 67 High St., Sutton, St Nicholas, Surrey as a shop assistant in "Marriage Provisions Shop" Ref.
