Hi All I'm hoping SKS with access to the records office can help me! I'm trying to track more information about my father who married a girl from Barton Village. I have a Ryde address for 1909, he was in Southampton in 1914 and I'm told he "left the island in 1919". The last sighting before 1909 is Sept 1906, when he was in the Royal Garrison Artillery, probably in Scarborough. The information I have is: 8 Jan 1906 William James Frederick FORREST (b. 4 Aug 1882) m. Amy Kate JEFFRIES (b. 17 Jun 1887) at Tynemouth Priory, NBL. 18 Nov 1909 William Scott FORREST b. 3 Sun Place, High Street, Ryde, IOW, to the above 30 Oct 1914 John Allan FORREST b. 98 French Street, Southampton, to the above In the 1901 Census, the JEFFRIES family were at 11 John Street, Barton, so I guess they stayed put. I'm in no tearing hurry for any information that anyone can dig up... I've waiting long enough to track him down! With many thanks in advance John LOVE
