Hi Everyone, I'm still here :-) Could Mary Lou please email me, I lost several email addresses when I moved across to the IoW. I have mammoth backlog of email's so if anyone is waiting for a reply I apologise :-) Life is still pretty hectic and at this rate I shall need to employ a secretary and purchase a desk ( I do miss my desk). I love being in Cowes and have met so many wonderful friendly people. It has been great being able to put faces to names - and it has been lovely to meet a few members of the IoW FHS. I am hoping to meet the famous Ann Barrett in January when I attend the Ryde Social Heritage Meeting, if any listers are attending the meeting do give me a wave. I have been all over the Island several times over by now, but still love Cowes more than any other place (even if it is like a ghost town this time of year). Yarmouth comes in second and the amazing Newtown - has any other lister been to Newtown and if yes, what did you think? It has been great to talk to a lot of the older locals , they are quite often a very valuable untapped source of information. Finally - it's not too late to subscribe to the IoW FHS for Xmas and I have to give my favourite cemetery Northwood a plug - become a Friend or purchase a gift subscription for another member of the family :-) Harass Jon Matthews if you feel like a subscription to each , we can't have him twidling his thumbs !
