Angela, I was waiting for more replies to your email dated 21 Feb. 2010 I have Thomas connections in Cowes, both East and West, the descendants of Thomas THOMAS (Tomass) born 1766 including George THOMAS (1800), Charles THOMAS (1821) and William Henry THOMAS (1854) my great grandfather, who moved off the Island to Greenwich in the 1880s. Associated names are DENNISON and LASHLEY. This branch seems associated with the building trade, George and Charles owning several properties and 'controlling' several workers.
