My thanks to Jon for finding for me what I thought to be a family no longer on the Island and who maybe had emigrated after 1841. In fact they were still there but now the surname has changed from Hollis 1841 and then to Halliday. 1851, 1861 and 1871 census. James and Ann and all the same children living Kingstone. Can anyone please think of a reason why the surname changed. ?? Kind regards. April
