    3. Hi All I am attempting to read correctly the occupation of a Charles Gawn in the 1901 Census born 1867 Ref RG13/5326 Folio 101 Page 15 second last from the bottom. He is on the Vessel Juno for RNavy ships and am not too sure but the occupation appears to LgStoI - does this translate as ? Large (ok not sure) Stoker Class 1. I am sure there is someone out there with greater knowlege than mine and am giving thanks in advance for any assistance.     3. HI I think its Engine Stoker 1 - maybe as in 1st engineer or 1st eng.stoker. But it being abbreviated makes it harder to read.
