Hi Does anyone know anything about the Groves and Gutteridge shipbuilders. I have not been able to find much on the internet about the history of it. My great great grandfather was George Gutteridge born 1822 who was married to Ellen Lowe and was the son of George and Caroline Gutterridge and believe they were ship and boat builders and have been told they were part of this boatyard and would love to find out more about the beginning of the company. My other 3 grandfather Edward Swetman was also in the trade and was an apprentice to Michael Ratsey in 1839 and again would like to find out more about that company Any help would be appreciated Andrea
