Hello list Would anyone have any information on a farmworker with surname Campbell, possibly in the Newport area, around 1911? He was Scottish so what he was doing on the IOW is anyone's guess! Probably born around 1888 but this is only a guess from other dates. I realise that this is not a lot to go on, but it is absolutely all I know about the father of my mother's half-brother. Guess I should clarify that - my mother had a half-brother, it is information on his father, surname Campbell that I seek. I know there is a soldier in the 1911 census who would fit as to age and location (IOW) but from what I have found on him I do not think it likely that he is my man. If anyone knows anything or has any ideas, I would love to hear from you as there is no one to ask! Bev
