Hello Phil, I have only a peripheral connection. My ancestor Henry Rawkins married a Mary Rogers sometime before 1710, when her first child was born. Henry's father (also Henry) had taken up the lease of Quarr farm (from the Fleming owners) in 1665 and the family held the lease for the next 153 years. The above Mary Rogers is said to have come from Littletown farm, near Wooton, which is not near Godshill, though nowhere is very far on the island.
