Calling all those who are researching the Scovell family Godshill, Niton etc. I have found DORA SCOVELL daughter of DANIEL SCOVELL and CLARAnee Morris. She went to New York, married there in 1916 to an Irishman David Clifford. Daughter Dora was born 1917. They were all alive and well in the 1930 census. David was 58 Mother Dora 40 and Daughter Dora was 13 years. David died Stamford, 1934 age 63. Mother Dora died 1936 (pauper) age 46 at the Connecticut Valley Hospital and is buried in their cemetery. Cannot find what happened to daughter Dora. There was an Uncle of hers over there HENRY MORRIS and his wife ROSE. Maybe they cared for Dora? Maybe she came to the Isle-of-Wight to be with her mothers family? Even took on their name? Maybe she died over there which at the moment is difficult to find. Maybe someone has been researching this family and has information. I hope so. I really do. April nee Morris. New Forest.

Just a thought. Daughter Dora would have been 17 at her father's death and 19 at her mother's death. Could she have married?
