Their website can be found at: http://www.isle-of-wight-fhs.co.uk/index.htm Another fairly simple method is to enter a very common name - John Smith, Brown, Jones, etc - into FreeBMD (www.freebmd.org.uk), choosing Isle of Wight as the registration district. Clicking on the underlined blue link named "I.Wight" will take you to other screens that give a complete list of all the places in the RD. Registration districts were used as the basis of census enumeration areas. Also look at the Isle of Wight pages at GENUKI at:- http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/HAM/IOW/ It's not difficult, really. -- Roy Stockdill Professional genealogical researcher, writer & lecturer Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
