Angela mentioned a Charles MORRIS from Atherfield which rings a huge bell in my mind but having looked I can't find any reference to in my records. As I type this I seem to remember that Atherfield was the site of some Coast Guard Cottages? Ian

Hi There are some old Coast Guard Cottages in Atherfield. It was reported that a boat went down near to them quite a while back and Joey ATTRILL from Bembridge walked from his home to Atherfield to assist in the rescue. The weather it appears was bad. There is a Joey ATTRILL Memorial Walk held each year in his memory to raise funds.
